I am an Osteopathic medicine physician, in my second of five years of general surgery residency training. I am also a proud to be a Medelita HIP Ambassador!
Being (and surviving) in medicine is all about learning academically, but it's also about adapting to constant change. One of the ways I process change is by writing. I also realize that to hone a skill and become better, you have to practice and do more of it. So here will be my writing process, of exploring and expanding. I pray that I can articulate and share experiences that will give value to you, but most of all - reflection for me - to become the best that I can be.
How did I get here?
4 years Biology and minor in Chemistry
3 years working as an EMT-B and ED Scribe
4 years Medical School
4 rounds of standardized board exams
1 in-person, 12 patient PE exam
24 months of rotations
Gave up most of my 20s
Lots of reading and studying
My musings, reflections, photographs, passions, and interests - here are where they rest.
Happy to help give advice in any ways I can, to those pursuing or in medicine!
