Hello from the In-Between
Life has been happening in the space between medical school graduation and residency. I've moved, seen friends, had family visit, explored extensively, and am calling a new state my home. Things will not be as blissful as they are now--but I'll remember this forever. Nothing on Earth is exactly free, but this feels pretty close to it. The calm before the storm, before reality changes and there is a paradigm shift.
Today some friends and I went up to 12,000 feet above sea level, seemingly into the air. The world seems like a simpler, quieter place up there. Being so high, with the wind blowing so hard...it made me feel alive. Maybe that's when you feel it - when there is resistance. It's always easy to say "it's not meant to be" when there's strife. But sometimes that's when you're actually the closest to where you're meant to be. Wherever you are, it's where you're meant to be right now - but not for forever.
In life, there's a bigger picture in which pieces are fitting together. We don't always know why or how, and it doesn't mean the bad things are 'meant to be'...it means things aren't always what they seem. I think it's better this way, because knowing the whole story probably wouldn't make sense to our tiny brains anyway -- but it's much like watching a beautiful story unfold with all these different pieces fitting together perfectly...instead of hearing the ending to a story I never was familiar with.
To stories -
& forever sharing them.
